D OUGLASS FUNERAL HOME has been owned and operated by the Douglass family for six generations. The family business began operation in the late 1800's in East Boston MA, later moving to Chelsea MA, and in 1944 the family moved the business to Lexington MA.

Ed Douglass and the Sprague family founded the business. They were succeeded by Arthur Douglass, Albert Douglass and Arthur F. Douglass. The firm is now owned and operating in its' sixth generation under the direction of Mark S. Douglass.
