Adam P. Paone of Canton, MA, formerly of Lexington, MA, passed away on May 3, 2023 at age 48.  He is survived by his parents, John and Mary Paone of Mashpee, MA; his brother Andrew and wife Antoinette of Lexington, MA; and, his brother Jonathan and wife Crystal of Chatham, NJ.  Adam was a devoted uncle to John, Tommy, Mia, Sam and Jack Paone.

Adam graduated from Lexington High School in 1993 where he was the captain of the golf team.  He went on to graduate from Suffolk University. Golf was a lifetime passion for Adam as it combined two of his great loves: athletic competition and socializing with new and old friends.  He particularly enjoyed golfing on Cape Cod, where he spent many summers, and traveling to enjoy new courses with family and friends.  In addition he was an active participant with the Amateur Golf Tour of New England for a number of years. Adam worked as a financial analyst at Sun Life Financial in Wellesley, MA for 13 years.

Adam battled mental illness, including depression, throughout his adulthood. The illness was particularly difficult for Adam this past year, which resulted in him taking his own life.  We pray that Adam is now at peace.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Adam's memory to the Massachusetts' chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness .

Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington Saturday May 13 at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid Church, Lexington at 10am. Visiting hours Friday May 12 from 4pm to 7pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment will be at Westview Cemetery in Lexington.
