Alan Buck Evans (1950-2023)

Alan Buck Evans, 73, of Lexington, MA died after a brief illness on September 21, 2023.

He was the husband of Annemarie Spauster. Alan was born in Souderton, PA in 1950 to Mary E. Evans and Richard B. Evans. He had recently retired from his position as a Principal Systems Engineer at MITRE after a successful career in DevSecOps and cyber threat analysis. He devoted his time outside of work to his family and his beloved Brittany dogs.

Alan was a lifelong connoisseur of fine dining, beer, and wine. In recent years, he compiled a cookbook of the recipes he had developed based on his favorite restaurants and family traditions. In addition to his career, he applied his PhD degree in Mathematics to supporting public education by running an extracurricular Math Club at his youngest daughters' local elementary school. He loved cooking, hunting, outdoor activities and spending time with his family. In later life he was deeply devoted to his dogs who were his companions in everything he enjoyed.

Alan is survived by his wife Annemarie; children Rachael B. Evans, Keelan M. Evanini, né Evans (Jamie) Maura M. Evans, and Fiona B. Evans (Declan); his brother Robert B. Evans (Cindy), his brother Charles T. Evans (Hilary); his grandchildren Alastair, Gavin, Phoebe, Stella, and Hunter; and his dogs Hudson and Gilbert.
