In Loving Memory of Albert W. Richards

On Sunday, March 13, 2022, Albert Wallace Richards, veteran, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 94. Al was born on January 25, 1928 in Cambridge, MA to William and Marion (Pretty) Richards. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean War, after which he worked for the US Postal Service for 30 years. On December 24, 1954 he married Caro Lee Pendleton. Together they raised two children, Karen and Ken.

Al loved all animals and dogs in particular. There was no dog he didn't want to meet or whose ears he didn't want to scratch. He also enjoyed music and singing; if someone was playing a classic hit from the 1940s or '50s on the piano, Al would be sure to jump into the song with enthusiasm. In his later years, he was interested to learn more about his parents' lives and experiences in Newfoundland before they immigrated to the United States.

Al was preceded in death by his siblings, Jack, Dorothy, Bill, and Edie, as well as his wife, Caro. He is survived by his two children, Karen and Ken, his daughter-in-law, Claudia, and his two grandchildren, Jen and Christina.

A private burial will be held at Cambridge Cemetery.
