Corcoran, Beatrice Allene (Smith) of Bedford, formerly of Arlington, went home to her Lord and Savior on June 27, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Forrest "Bud" Corcoran. Loving mother of Heather I. Sullivan and her husband Roy of Uxbridge, and the late Holly E. DiNicola and her surviving husband Roy of Hopkinton. Beloved grandmother of Ryan DiNicola, Casey DiNicola, Owen DiNicola and Jonathan Sullivan.  Devoted sister of Elizabeth Smith of Asheville, NC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Allene was born on October 21, 1925 the daughter of the late John W. and Ina (Allan)  Smith.  She was predeceased by her sister, Kathleen Duggan and brother, Willard "Joe" Smith.  She was a proud member of the Greatest Generation. Allene was a graduate of Arlington High School and enjoyed many years of fun with her life-long friends Barbara, Bunny, Pinky & Alice.

She moved to Bedford when she married Bud in 1952. Together, they started Bedford's first Ambulance Service, Corcoran Ambulance Service, and operated it from 1961 through the mid 1970s. Allene was a tutor at the Job Lane Elementry school during the 1970s and was also a long-time member of the Bedford Social Club.  She was a member of Grace Chapel in Lexington. Her faith and family were the pillars of her life and she loved to tell stories of prayers answered throughout her life.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 7, at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington at 11am. Visitation immediately prior to the service from 9:30am to 11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Donations in her memory may be made to The Home for Little Wanderers, 10 Guest St. Boston, MA 02135.
