Anders Cody Simon died on December 11, 2025.  He is survived by his mother, Eileen Simon, two brothers, Matthew, and Frederick, and two aunts, Hannelore Rogers and Gundula Lee.  He was preceded in death by his brother Conrad Simon.  He was also preceded in death by his father Eckehard Simon, Victor S. Thomas Professor of Germanic Languages and Literatures, Harvard University.

Anders, in infancy, had a diagnosis of early infantile autism, caused by head injury at birth (cephalohematoma).  He began school on the Children's Unit, Ward 6, at the Massachusetts Mental Health Center, on Fenwood Road, in Boston.  He quickly excelled, and then attended the Gaebler School at the former Metropolitan State Hospital Childrens Unit, in Waltham MA.  He later attended the Pine Point School in Camden Maine and Riverview in East Sandwich MA, on Cape Cod. He later attended college preparatory classes at the Wellspring Adult Learning Program in Hull MA.  Anders co-authored two books, with his mother Eileen Nicole Simon, available online at amazon.com:
