Mahoney, Ann Marie (Dowd), of Lexington passed away peacefully on Dec. 24, 2020.  Beloved wife of the late John L. Mahoney.  Daughter of the late Mildred and William Dowd of Worcester.  Cherished mother of John Mahoney and his wife, Lenor, of West Newton; Patricia O'Brien and her husband, James, of Arlington; and William Mahoney of Arlington.  Devoted sister of the late Dorothy Angelone.  Loving "Nana" to her five beloved granddaughters: Alison, Emma, Emily, Erin and Gillian.  Sister-in-law to Margaret Mahoney, Mary Lou and Neil Hegarty and the late Renato Angelone.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.  Ann graduated from Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene.  She was a dental hygienist, having ended her career at the Bedford Veterans Medical Center.  She served as a Eucharistic minister at Sacred Heart Parish in Lexington, a literacy volunteer in Waltham Public Schools, as well as a volunteer at the Lexington Food Pantry and Cary Memorial Library.  She and John loved to travel and Ogunquit, ME was always a favorite destination.  Due to the pandemic, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann's memory may be made to Family Aid Boston, 3815 Washington St. Boston, MA 02130 or online at familyaidboston.org.  Private interment in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester.
