Anthony C. "Tony" Busa passed peacefully surrounded by his beloved wife and five children after a life defined by family, friendship, mentorship, and community service.

Born in October, 1934, to Antonio and Lillian Galletta Busa, Tony was the youngest of nine children and a proud lifelong Lexingtonian. Raised on the family farm, he developed a remarkable work ethic, a love of people, and a commitment to helping others that would remain hallmarks of his life.

A graduate of Lexington High School and Boston College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and managed the BC Golf Team. Tony built an extraordinary career in broadcasting and advertising sales with WBZ and WCVB Channel 5 in Boston. Widely respected throughout the Boston area, he became known as a trusted advisor, mentor, and relationship builder whose success was rooted in integrity and genuine care for others.

More than his professional accomplishments, Tony will be remembered as a connector of people. He had a gift for bringing individuals together, creating lifelong friendships, and helping others recognize opportunities within themselves. Whether mentoring young people during his children's formative years in Lexington, guiding colleagues in business, or encouraging friends and neighbors, Tony always made time for others.

Family was the center of Tony's world. He shared 66 wonderful years of marriage with his adoring wife, Beatrice, and together they raised five children: Charles, Christopher, Barry, Mary Beth, and Dana. He was immensely proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and treasured every opportunity to gather with family, celebrate milestones, and create lasting memories.

Tony's leadership extended well beyond his career. Following retirement, he devoted countless hours to Lexington Golf Club, serving as Vice President, President, and Board Member. He later returned to his passion for building homes and remained active in development projects well into his later years.

An avid golfer throughout his life, Tony earned three holes-in-one and enjoyed championship rounds in Massachusetts and Florida. Yet even more than golf, he loved people. He was known for his infectious smile, generous spirit, love of singing and dancing, and his ability to make everyone laugh and feeling welcome. Friends at Stonebridge Country Club in Naples, Florida, will long remember Friday evenings spent dancing, laughing, and celebrating life.

Tony's faith was equally important to him. In retirement, he joined the choir at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Naples and remained an active parishioner alongside Bea.

Tony leaves behind a legacy measured not only by accomplishments, but by lives touched. He inspired generations through his kindness, optimism, governance, and unwavering commitment to family and friends. His example reminds us that success is best measured by the people we help, the relationships we nurture, and the joy we bring to others.

He lived a beautiful life, loved deeply, and will be missed beyond measure.

Anthony's pre-deceased immediate family members include: his parents Antonio & Lillian Galletta, siblings, Eva (Freddie Antonelli), Lavinia, Mary, Joseph (Alice (Molly) Patterson), Alfred (Shirley Nelson,) Rome (Kathryn Cooley), Daniel (Cathleen (Kay) Burns), Lavinia (Del Hughes), His In-laws Paul & Josephine (Fiore) Capraro.  Brother-in-Law Paul Capraro, and sister-in-law Elizabeth (Jason) Capraro.

Tony is survived by his wife Beatrice E (Capraro) Children Charles (Lori Melton); Christopher (Vickie Andrade); Barry (Joan Albertine); Mary Beth (Alexis Garcia Heres); Dana (Jackie Sherwood).

His 13 grandchildren Paul (Erica Thacher), Brittany (Ryan Kiekhoefer), Barry Jr., Andrew, Julianna Busa (Freddy Potochney), Lauren (Evan Walters) Emmalee Roepke, Doug (Emily Hepner), Cody, Anthony, Christina Garcia Busa, Nicholas (Alexis Gonsoulin) & Alexis Garcia Busa.

His 10 great-grandchildren Jack, Drew & Mark Kiekhoefer, Gabriella & Joseph Potochney Evelyn Busa, Georgia Roepke, Sophia & Amelia Busa & Rhys Walters.

His Sister-in-law Kathleen (Riley) Capraro, Albert (Ruthie Dulac) Capraro.

and 40+ nieces and nephews.

Services in Lexington MA:  Tuesday June 16, 2026 – Viewing From 9:00AM to 10AM at Sacred Heart Parish (16 Follen Road Lexington) Prior to Mass & Funeral Mass 10AM @ Sacred Heart Parish 16 Follen Road, Lexington MA.  Followed by Interment at Westview Cemetery, Lexington MA, for family and friends.
