HITCHCOCK, Antoinette (Ferreira) With deep sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Antoinette (Ann) Hitchcock, 91 on April 5, 2012, with her family by her side in Centerville, MA. Ann had spent the last couple of years living with her daughter Bonnie on Cape Cod and enjoying her grandchildren. Ann grew up in Cambridge, MA, the last of five children. After marrying, Ann and her husband, the late Clyde W. Hitchcock, moved to Lexington where they raised their daughters, Gracey and Bonnie. As a young woman, Ann was an avid traveler. She and her friends took many road trips in Ann's snazzy convertibles - once driving all the way to Mexico. Later, as a widow, Ann and her friends took a dream trip to Hawaii. Ann was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Lexington for many years and member of its Fireside Circle. She also attended Grace Chapel in Lexington and was a frequent visitor at Pine Knoll Nursing home for many years as her older friends began to fail. Daughters Gracey Hitchcock and Bonnie Curtin, as well as four grandchildren, Christopher and Nicholas Curtin, and Jeffrey and kendelle Wilkinson and one great granddaughter, Aerilyn Curtin, survive her. Ann was a woman of faith. Her favorite expression was "God Willing" and on the day of her death, her daughter Bonnie found a quote she had tucked away with her papers. It read, "Never fear the end of something - it marks the start of something new." A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 12 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., LEXINGTON, 11am.
