Silva, Arthur, 63, of Lexington passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family and friends on June 17, 2010. Beloved husband of 42 years to Janice (Benfante) Silva, Arthur was a life-long mechanic and the proprietor of A.P.S. Truck Service of Tewksbury for 28 years. Son of Mildred (Carson) Silva of Chelmsford and the late Manuel Silva. Arthur was a loving father of Tracy Samarjian and her husband Gregory of Pepperell, and Jeff Silva of Somerville. Brother of Manuel Silva of Salem, NH, and his wife Patricia, Ruth Amen and her husband Jim of Leawood, KS, and the late Steven Silva. Brother-in-law of Beverly (Benfante) Arnold and her husband Robert. Arthur was also deeply loved by his granddaughters Shannon and Nicole. Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington Friday June 25 at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid Church, Lexington at 10am. Visiting Hours Thursday June 24 from 4 to 8pm.
