Arthur Stead's Obituary
Stead, Arthur William, of Lexington, passed away on July 4, 2018. Husband of the late Ruth E (Whalen) Stead. Father of William T. Stead and his wife Jamie, of Fairbanks, Alaska, Daniel C Stead of Woburn, Matthew J. P. Stead and his wife Lauren of Arlington and the late Arthur R. Stead. Arthur is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Kyle, Christopher, Katherine, Kirstin, Isabelle and the late Josephine, and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by his brothers James of Bellingham and Kenneth of Concord, North Carolina. Arthur was a U.S. Army Veteran serving the Signal Crops, an Electrical Technician at General Electric Company and Amatek, Inc. in Wilmington. He was also a member of Simon W. Robinson Masonic Lodge of Lexington, and many other Masonic bodies. Visiting hours are Tuesday July 10th from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Douglass Funeral Home 51 Worthen Rd., Lexington. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 11th at 10 AM at the Church of Our Redeemer, 6 Meriam St. Lexington. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will be at the Westview Cemetery, Lexington. Donations in his memory may be made to the Bedford VA Hospital, GRECC Unit, 200 Springs Rd. Bedford, MA 01730.
