Rosato, Barbara (Sampson) a caring wife, mother, and grandmother passed July 19, 2022 at the age of 92. Barbara was a longtime resident of Bedford, MA and Carlisle, MA.

Barbara Ann Rosato (born Nov. 5, 1929) married her sweet husband Alexander P. Rosato on September 16, 1951. Together they raised 5 children: Linda Barbara, David Alexander, Deborah Ann, Joanna Barbara, and Daniel Alexander. She leaves this earth to be with her husband of 63 years who passed on April 16, 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents Dorothy and Lawrence, her brother Richard, and her sister Nancy. Barbara is survived by her brother George and his wife Jan, her sister-in-law Frances, as well as her children Linda, David and his wife Lynn, Deborah, Joanna and her husband Scott, and Daniel and his wife Erika. Nieces and nephews George (deceased), Tom, Carl, Jeff, Christopher, Jamie, and Katie. As well as her grandchildren Sandy and her husband Geoff, Tammy and her husband James, Jennifer, David and his wife Jen, Pamela and her husband Alex, Laura, Colleen, Michelle, Jessica and her partner Seth, Emily, William, Benjamin, and John. Her great-grandchildren Tori and her fiancé Jake, Canon, Tatum and her husband Gage, Jackson, Madison, and Conor, and her great-great-grandchild Gracie.

Barbara and Al spent a lifetime together after meeting in their teen years. Barbara attended Mass College of Fine Arts. After giving birth to her five children, she went back to finish her Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design in 1974.

Barbara enjoyed entertaining her family during holiday gatherings. She loved country-wide road trips. She loved listening to music and dancing around her living room. While raising her family, Barbara was a self-employed graphic artist. She painted large oil paintings, and then transitioned to watercolors, pencil and charcoal. Her art hung in her own home, and the homes of her family. During their later years, Barbara and Al traveled in their vans and touched the lives of many people. Barbara found beauty in small things and she was a collector of many treasures. With every trip her collections grew and her homes were decorated with her treasures. She was happiest when explaining the story behind each treasure to visitors.

Barbara gave her life to the Lord when she heard a sermon about the sparrow. If God can provide for the sparrow, with the sparrow not needing to store up goods or worry about tomorrow, then she thought that he can provide for me. Barbara and Al were members of Grace Chapel for 50 years. Barbara attended many Bible studies to grow in her faith and to fellowship with friends.

She is now close to Jesus and her husband Al.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Monday July 25 at Grace Chapel, 59 Worthen Rd. Lexington at 10am. Visiting hours at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd Lexington Sunday from 4pm to 6pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Green Cemetery, Carlisle.
