VAFIADES, Basil C. of Burlington, formerly of Chatham and Lexington. Beloved husband of Mercene (Bart) Vafiades. Father of Mark Vafiades of La Crescenta, CA, David Vafiades and his wife Monica of Bedford, and Kerri Callahan of Westford. Brother of James Vafiades of Waltham. Basil is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Nicholas, Jason, Alexa, Nicole, and Scotty. A funeral service will be held Friday July 17 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Lexington at 11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., LEXINGTON, Thursday from 4pm to 8pm.
