Mayer, Bernice "Breezie" died May 18, 2013. She was the wife of the late Michael J. Mayer and married for 49 years. Born in Saint John N.B. Canada Dec. 22, 1920 was a resident of Lexington for 52 years. Worked for Insurance Co. of North America (now C.I.G.N.A.) for 36 years. Daughter of the late Bea and Archie Thoms. Sister of the late Lenore McCabe Serwo. She is survived by niece Patricia Perry and husband George, nephew Robert McCabe and wife Mary, nephew William McCabe and wife Sharon. Great nieces and nephews Deborah Summers, Courtney Doucette, Lenore Ruggiero, and Glen McCabe. A funeral service will be celebrated Thursday May 23 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington at 11:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visitation Thursday prior to service from 10:30am to 11:30am. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
