Betsy Sadler
Cameron
d. Aug 5, 2026
Betsy S. Cameron
August 5, 2026
Betsy Sadler Cameron passed away on August 5, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Ruben Edward Brown, devoted mother to her children Sebastian, River, and Wesley Cole, and caring support to her step children Willow and Henry Sandland-Brown. Sister of Donald Cameron of East Providence RI, and beloved Daughter of James Cameron of Bedford and grand-daughter of James Cameron of Quincy.
Betsy grew up in Cumberland, RI and Bedford, MA. She graduated from the Cambridge School of Weston and Wellesley College. She used her training in Computer Science and Mathematics to pursue a successful career across multiple industries, including work at MITRE and Akamai.
Beyond work, Betsy constructed places for people to be themselves, hosting parties, running games, and enforcing safe spaces. She taught core life skills through the Church and was an advocate of direct action in the community. She was a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, and could not hide her light under a bushel.
Betsy loved pairing food, wine and cocktails. She traveled the world building a wealth of inspiration for her regular open door events. Those gatherings were planned with great care picking ingredients and crafting meals and pairings to meet every dietary requirement and palate. To know Betsy was to be welcomed into her heart and held dear.
Betsy was a brilliant and loving person who touched many lives for the better and will be greatly missed.
