Beverly Astourian of Billerica, formerly of Lexington, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026.

Born in Boston, MA, on August 15, 1942, Beverly was the beloved daughter of the late Agnes (Sohigian) and Oscar Harry Astourian. A graduate of Lexington High School, she attended the Chandler School for Women and began her career as an administrative secretary. She lived most of her life in Lexington and worked at Sancta Maria Hospital and Mount Auburn Hospital before joining Bentley University in the History Department until her retirement. Beverly genuinely enjoyed her working years, and many of her colleagues became lifelong friends.

After her retirement, Beverly moved to Billerica to be closer to family. She kept busy working part time at the Billerica Senior Center helping others as she always liked to do. She especially loved spending time with her great-nieces and great-nephew who affectionately called her "Auntie B." She would love to stop by with pizzas, and bring surprises for the kids, always thinking of her family. Her happiness came from bringing joy to others.

Beverly is survived by her devoted sister, Cheryl Garabedian, and her husband, Gary, of Billerica. She was the most wonderful and caring aunt of Lee Benigno, and her husband Sam, of Chelmsford, and a proud great-aunt of Kaylee, Noelle, and Jake Benigno. Beverly is also survived by many cherished cousins, dear friends, and her cat, Rosie, whom she loved so much.

In her later years Beverly persevered through numerous health obstacles, always with a beautiful smile, positive attitude and grateful heart. Our family would like to acknowledge the outstanding care Beverly received over the years from Mass General Hospital and most recently from Lowell General Hospital. Our sincere gratitude also goes to the entire staff at Sunny Acres Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, whose warmth and kindness will never be forgotten.

To know Beverly was to love her. She adored her family and friends, and her gentle soul will be greatly missed. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Visiting hours will be on Friday, July 17th at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington, from 9:30-11am. A service at the funeral home will be held at 11am followed by interment at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
