Beverly Tomasic Bowman, June 4, 1946 - July 25, 2024

Beverly Tomasic Bowman of Lincoln died on July 25th, 2024, at the age of 78. She faced her cancer treatment with unwavering determination and strength, and faced her death with remarkable grace and dignity. As was her wish, she passed at home, surrounded by close family and friends.

Born to Mildred (Millie) DeMayo (Muscarelli) and Edward DeMayo on June 4, 1946, Beverly was raised in Winthrop and Nahant. She was very close to her mother, who owned and operated a women's clothing shop in East Boston named, The Beverly Shop.

Beverly attended St. Mary's parochial school in Lynn. She then went on to earn a degree from Emerson College in Boston, then a graduate degree from New York University in Speech and Language Pathology. She had a long and well respected career as Speech Pathologist at McCarthy Middle School in Chelmsford.

After retirement from teaching, Beverly became a world traveler and made lasting memories taking trips with late husband Richard Bowman, then loving companion David L. Negrin, and also with many girlfriends and couples. Beverly was also passionate about interior design and helped many friends and family members make beautiful improvements to their homes.

Beverly's pride and joy was her family. She was an endlessly devoted mother who would do anything to protect her two daughters, Vanessa Tomasic Cartwright and Marissa L. Tomasic. She took great pride in being a loving and present Nonnie to her grandchildren William, Weston and Anna Cartwright. She was the heart and the center of her small family.

Beverly was a caring aunt and godmother to Kristen Blake, and loved Kristen as if she was one of her own. Beverly had many beloved friends and neighbors. She shared lifelong friendships with her closest and most special friends, and had numerous other friends who were always eager to give her some of the warmth, care and love that she gave to them so freely. Simply meeting Beverly often resulted in the creation of another friendship.

All of her friends and family are encouraged to attend the visiting hours at Douglass Funeral Home in Lexington on Thursday, August 1, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, as well as a graveside service and burial at Lincoln Cemetery in Lincoln at 10:00am on Friday, August 2.
