Ernst, Beverly "B.J." (Johnston) of Lexington, October 19, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Karl A. "Bud" Ernst. Loving mother of Marla J. Hebenton and her husband Bruce of Lexington. Devoted sister of the late Paul Johnston. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Jodi jean Hebenton Bulcao and her husband Joshua, and Brittani Ernst McLaud and her husband Kyle, 4 great grandchildren, Tyler, Corey, Finan, and Stiorra, and many nieces and nephews.

BJ was a wonderful knitter and made many treasured afghans, sweaters, and scarfs for family and friends. She made many skating dresses and loved to make Nantucket baskets. For many years she loved being at Hayden Ice Rink with Jodi and Brittani and working with the annual ice shows. And each year she loved going to Disney World with the family. BJ was a member of the VFW Lexington Women's Auxiliary.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday October 27 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington at 10am.Visiting hours are Thursday from 4pm to 7pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
