Boris Zilberman, a devoted husband, loving father, and esteemed engineer, passed away from natural causes at the age of 88.

Born in Leningrad, USSR, in July of 1935, Boris's life was marked by a profound dedication to his family and a distinguished career in engineering that spanned over six decades.

Beginning his career at the Leningrad Metalworks Plant (Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod), Boris dedicated 33 years of service, making significant contributions that left an enduring impact. His tenure at the Metalworks was notable for his achievement of earning a PhD while actively contributing to the plant's success, showcasing his remarkable ability to juggle a demanding career with rigorous academic pursuits.

In 1992, seeking new opportunities and horizons, Boris and his wife, Tamara, embarked on a new chapter by immigrating to the USA. He continued his passion for engineering at Compressor Controls Corporation in Des Moines, IA, where he spent another 28 years until his retirement at 85. Boris was celebrated for his work ethic, innovative spirit, and substantial contributions to the field of Control Systems Engineering. Known for his problem-solving prowess and readiness to assist colleagues, he was deeply respected and admired in his professional community.

The loss of Boris has left an indelible void in the hearts of those who knew him. Yet, his remarkable life's work, unwavering devotion to his family, and the significant impact he has had on both his professional peers and loved ones will forever be remembered and cherished. His memory will live on through his wife, Tamara, his son and daughter-in-law, Leo and Inna, his grandsons, Tim and Greg, and all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
