Davis, Carl Dwain of Lexington and most recently Groton, was finally reunited with the love of his life on June 20, 2022. Beloved husband for over 63 years of the late Dolores Davis (Brasch). Loving father of Teressa Penney and her husband John of Dracut, Kathleen Davis of Wilmington, Mark Davis of Groton and his former wife Nelia Borges of Nashua, NH, and Sharon Hays and her husband Peter of Medford. Devoted brother of Letha Pomeroy and Clell Davis. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Kayla, Jessica, Benjamin, and Owen, and by many nieces and nephews.

Family and faith were the most important things in his life.  From road trips to visit family in Iowa, Pennsylvania, and Colorado, to bike rides to church and Pewter Pot, walks around the reservoir or swimming or skating there, playing at the Bridge School playground, or shooting hoops in the driveway - these were some of his greatest pleasures.  Carl also loved spending time on the glider swing in his backyard playing his harmonica, reading or talking with his grandkids and he wrote many stories, poems, and heartfelt notes to loved ones.  He felt strongly about sharing his blessings with the community and spent time volunteering with Junior Achievement, running errands for neighbors with health challenges, and visiting hospital patients as well as prisoners.  Carl touched many lives during his life journey and he seemed to make everyone he came in contact with want to be a better person as a result.

Born in a small farm house in Iowa on July 9, 1927, Carl joined the 3M Company after graduating from Harvard Business School in 1956 and there he remained his entire 44-year career including more than 30 years as General Manager of the 3M Littmann Stethoscope operation in Cambridge, MA.  He was a proud World War II and Korean War U.S. Air Force Veteran, but mostly he would want to be remembered for his love of family and community,  and for putting down strong roots in Lexington, MA, where he and his beloved Dolores and four children made their home on 14 Bridge Street for nearly 50 years.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., Lexington on Saturday, June 25 ^th at 10:00 am.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
