Carol Ann Callahan (Rose) of Waltham, formerly of Lexington, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025. Beloved wife of the late William R. Callahan. Loving mother of Mary Ann T. Callahan and her partner Michael J. McNeill of Tyngsboro, Ann M. Callahan of Waltham, and Joseph P. Callahan and his wife Martha of Quincy. Devoted sister of Charlotte Tomao of Burlington, Barry Rose and his wife Doraci of Port Charlotte, FL, and the late Arlene Santoro, Walter Rose, and James Rose. She is also survived by three cherished grandchildren—Cass, Sophia, and William—and many loving nieces and nephews.

Carol Ann was a woman of deep faith and creativity. An active member of her parish, St. Charles, she taught CCD for many years and even created a children's prayer book to help young learners grow in faith. She was endlessly crafty and resourceful—whether crocheting decorative dolls, building wooden gumball machines, or making holiday crafts, Carol Ann's hands were always busy creating something special. Her handmade treasures often supported her church, as she worked tirelessly to raise funds through craft fairs and parish events.

Her love extended beyond her family and faith to animals, especially her dog, Daisy, who has been her constant companion and a source of great joy.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol Ann's memory may be made to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm Animal Care and Adoption Center (https://support.mspca.org/site/Donation).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Brigid Church, 1981 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington. Visiting hours will be held prior to the Mass at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road, Lexington, from 9:30 to 10:45 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
