O'Neil, Carol E. (Day), daughter of A. Elizabeth Cosgrove Day and Benjamin W. Day Sr., died after a long illness on Dec. 9, 2015. Carol was born at Mt. Auburn Hospital on 24 Aug. 1940 and lived in Lexington, attended Munroe School and graduated from Lexington High School. Her husband, John O'Neil predeceased her in 2010. They lived in Boston's North End for a number of years. She worked for the towns of Lexington for a few years and then for an investment firm in Boston, and for Fay's Closet, a clothing manufacturer. She had 2 siblings, Ruth Day Visbeck of Virginia and Ret. B.G. Benjamin W. Day Jr. of Northfield, Vermont. Carol is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Saturday April 30 at the Green Cemetery, Bedford Road in Carlisle at 11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
