Carol Nesnow Perez, 76, on February 3, 2012 from respiratory
complications of facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) in
Lexington, Massachusetts. Born and raised in Queens New York she had a
Master's in Education from Northeastern University and was a tireless
advocate who helped countless people with disability and disease to live
better lives. Carol served as Secretary of the board of the FSH Society,
was former Executive Director, FSH Society, and retired, Area Director,
Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission. She is survived by her devoted
husband of 55 years, Charles; son Daniel and wife Susan; daughter
Rosanne Sterne and husband Ned; grandchildren; Annelise and Clifton
Dawson, Gabriella and Camilla Sterne. Those wishing to honor Carol's
