ROONEY, Carol Anne Age 63, died suddenly at her home in San Francisco, CA. on May 18, 2017. Carol was the daughter of (Mary) Helen Lee and the late Joseph O. Rooney. Carol also leaves her brothers David L. Rooney and his wife Judy Leerer of Framingham and Steven A. Rooney of Lexington. Carol was a graduate of Springfield College, majoring in Social Work. She left Lexington and moved to San Francisco in 1978 where she spent most of her working years in the Carpentry Field. She excelled in her craft and was one of the only woman working in that field in the earlier years. She last worked making display cases for the famous Faberge Eggs. In addition to her mother and brothers, she leaves behind her aunt, many cousins and friends. Calling hours will be held Thursday June 8 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington from 11am to 12:45pm. Interment service to follow at Westview Cemetery, Lexington at 1pm. Friends are invited to attend.
