CULLEN, Catherine Mary Of Bedford, formerly of Lexington, Sept. 30, 2014. Wife of the late Charles M. Cullen. Mother of Charles J. Cullen and his wife Jay Joan Gerbis of Scituate, Irene Cullen Gravina and her husband Samuel of Bedford, and William M. Cullen of Cambridge. Sister of Thomas Murphy of Burlington and Irene Murphy of Woburn. Catherine "Kitty" is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Lindsay, Hilary, and Dana, and by many nieces and nephews. Catherine taught in the Everett Public Schools for 15 years after earning a master's degree in reading from Boston University. Previously, she was a laboratory technician for Gillette Co. and MIT, after earning a bachelor's in chemistry from Emmanuel College. She worked for various Democratic causes and was a founding member of the Lexington Ski Club. She was known by family and friends alike for her kindness and generous nature. Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., LEXINGTON, Monday Oct. 6 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Brigid Church, Lexington at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
