Farren, Catherine, of North Andover, died Thursday February 23, 2017 of complications from multiple myeloma at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. She was 75. She is survived by her sister, Marie Farren of Tucson, AZ and by several cousins and many friends. The daughter of Hugh and Mary (Silk) Farren, Catherine was born in Everett, MA on May 12, 1941. She was a dedicated and beloved teacher at parochial schools. She loved to sing and sang in  choirs and choral groups. Visiting hours will be held Monday Feb. 27 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington from 4pm to 8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday  Feb. 28 at the Holy Family Church, 12 Monument Square, Concord at 10am. There will also be a viewing at the church Tuesday, immediately prior to the Mass at 9am, during which friends and family may present short remembrances about Catherine. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Donations in her memory may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston, 637 Cambridge St. Brighton, MA 02135.
