Catherine Theresa (Hayes) Fiore passed away on Tuesday, March 31st, 2015 at the age of 88, surrounded by her family. Catherine grew up in Somerville, graduated from Somerville High School, Class of 1944. The loving wife of Anthony A. Fiore, they were married on October 15th, 1949, and were blessed with 66 wonderful years together. They resided in Somerville where she and Anthony raised 5 children and later moved to Lexington. Catherine worked at Tux Department Store in Somerville and cared for her family and home. Together with her husband, the family spent their summers on Priscilla Beach in Plymouth and shared great memories in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Catherine's family and faith were paramount in her life, with particular delight in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren's lives. Catherine was the cherished mother of Mary Catherine Rogers and her husband Kenneth of Stoneham, the late Donald A. Fiore and his wife Linda of Lexington, Anne Marie and her husband Mark of Methuen, Timothy J. Fiore and his wife Anna of Westford, and Lawrence A. Fiore and his wife Jacqueline of Lexington. Devoted grandmother of Matthew Rogers and his fiancé Margaret Norden of Quincy, Richard Lake and his wife Denise of Reading, Marisa Fiore of Lexington, Michele, Brad and Court Fiore of Westford, and Kristen, Catherine and Jennifer Fiore of Lexington. Loved great grandmother of Madison and Samantha Lake. Loyal sister to Mary Murphy and her late husband James of Kennebunk, Maine, the late Ellen Cremone and her late husband Robert of Somerville, John Hayes and his late wife Carol of South Yarmouth, and Margaret Hegarty and her late husband Thomas of Beverly. She is "Auntie Kay" to many nieces and nephews. Her beloved parents were the late Timothy and Mary Hayes of Somerville. Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road, Lexington, Tuesday, April 7, at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid Church, Lexington at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
