Carota, Charles F.W., a life-long Lexington resident, Jan. 28, 2016. Husband of Elizabeth A. Carota. Father of Deborah A. Farrand and her husband Frederick of Westford, Mark C. Carota and his wife Joanne of Chelmsford, and Elizabeth A. DeNovellis and her husband Mark of Chelmsford. Brother of the late Gigi, Elio, Babe, Arthur, and Tony Carota. Charles is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Brendan, Corry, Holly, Matthew, Brian, Megan, and David, and by many nieces and nephews. A World War II Veteran, a 1944 Graduate of Lexington High School, Member of the Lexington High School Hall of Fame (Basketball); Member and 3-time Club Champion of Lexington Golf Club; Volunteer at the Veterans Hospital in Bedford and Helping Hands in Lexington. He and his wife were long time members of St Brigid's Parish and Couples Club. After working for 17 years at General Radio in Concord, he started his own remodeling and renovation business, C&B Construction in Lexington with his partner, Bobby Burns. His craftsmanship is evident in abundance all over the community of Lexington and in the homes of his children. He was a very simple man; he had 3 loves in his life: his family & friends, Lexington, and golf. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the fine staff at Brightview Concord River and the VA doctors and hospitals for their sincere compassion, care and support. Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington Monday Feb. 1 at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid Church, Lexington at 10am.
