Charles B. "Chuck" Crowley III, of Lexington, MA, passed away on September 28, 2024.  He spent 19 months hospitalized as a result of severe wounds sustained after an unexplained fall and complications of Hereditary Hemochromatosis.  Born on March 10, 1957, he was 67 years old.

Charles was a gifted architect.  His education began at the University of Pennsylvania.  He later transferred to the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD.)  After graduating from RISD with a B.Arch  (Bachelor of Architecture) in 1980,  he began his career in New York City with Voorsanger and Mills Associates and subsequently with Richard Meier (working as part of the team on the earliest phases of the Getty Center in Los Angeles.)  He then established his own architectural firm in Boston, periodically guest lecturing at Yale University.

An avid fly fisherman, Chuck also enjoyed long bike rides, frequently cycling from his Boston office or his Beacon Hill condo to his childhood home in Lexington, or exploring the countryside near his home in Petersham, MA.  An artist at heart, he was rarely seen without a sketch pad.  His ability to draw was exceptional.

He is survived by his brother Paul Crowley of Lexington, his sister Ginger (Jeanne) Crowley of Los Angeles and many friends and relatives.  A memorial Mass was celebrated at noon on December 29th at Gate of Heaven Church in South Boston by Chuck's cousin, the Very Rev.
