Martin of Buffalo Grove, IL. Brother of Charlotte Martin Barksdale of North Carolina. Survived by two nephews, Tobe Barksdale of Bolton, and Martin Barksdale of North Carolina. Devoted grandfather to his triplet granddaughters, Spring, Summer, and Autumn.

Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington Friday Sept. 2 ^nd at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid Church, Lexington at 10am. A U.S. Air Force Veteran and 1957 Graduate of Harvard University, Charlie was an Electrical Engineer at Raytheon. He was a member of many organizations, including the Omega Psi Fraternity, the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society and the Association of Black Citizens of Lexington (ABCL).
