Obituary

Rodgers, Christine Johnsen, born May 30, 1951, died Monday, November 6, 2017 following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Lexington, Mass. to Robert Ulrich and Betty Groth Johnsen, Chris  attended Lexington High School and Mary Washington College in Virginia. Chris was an avid collector in antiques, a talented interior decorator, and had a keen eye for buying and selling real estate. She was a longtime employee of MAC and Hamilton Consultants in Cambridge, Mass., as well as an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Newtonville. She spent many summers in Little Compton, RI and Phillipston, Mass., enjoying both ocean and lake life. Christine was wife to the late William H. Rodgers.  She leaves behind brother, Robert Johnsen of Sarasota, FL; sister, Alison Baker of Danville, CA; and daughter, Samantha Pitchel of Los Angeles, CA. Christine lived most recently in Charlestown and was a former resident of Newton, Mass. and Wilmington, NC. The family wishes to thank Daniel Rodgers and Barbara Metcalf for their longtime friendship and support.
