A former student of Lexington High School, Cody worked alongside his father at Vendetti Tree Service and among friends at Marquis Tree Removal. As an employee, he was industrious, reliable, confident, and good-spirited. As a person, he was loving, intuitive, strong, and loyal to the bone.
In his spare time, Cody enjoyed hanging out with family, playing video games, watching football, and listening to his favorite music including Eminem, Lil Wayne, Joyner Lucas, and 50 Cent. He cared deeply for animals, especially his dog Tony. His love for shoes and fashion was unparalleled - he will be buried in his favorite pair of sneakers, Off- White Air Jordan 1's UNC, it'll be his first time he's worn them.
Cody's unabashed humor, goofy charm, and gentle heart will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his parents, Noemia& Ricky, as well as his grandparents, Richard (Grumpy) & Diane Vendetti and Denise (Mimi) & James McKim; the late Laurinda Alves (Vavo) and Henrique Alves (Vovo). He is also survived by his aunts Paulina Alves-Jarvis, Irene Santos, Shelli Shumway, Terrie Watson, Stephanie McKim, Michelle Vendetti; his uncles Joe Jarvis, Paul Santos, David Vendetti, Steven Vendetti, Eric McKim, Uncle Joey; and his many cousins: Josh, Bryant, Noah, Jackson, Tyler, David Ace, Devon, Travis, Sydney, Emeli, Makeda, Lilith, Nailah, Elijah, Josiah, Joshua, Caleb, Parker, Seren, Teagan and Fin. He will also be remembered by his best friends Josh Santos, Keith Young, James Young, Kiichi James Bowman, Jarell Johnson, Reggie Thornton, Jake Dennehy, Brendan Huckings, Ryan Hucking, Taylor Lahiff and David Ace Vendetti, among others.
A funeral service will be held at the Grace Chapel, 59 Worthen Road, Lexington on Tuesday, September 18 at 10:00 am. Visiting hours will be at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., Lexington on Monday from 4-8 pm. Burial will be at the Cambridge Cemetery. Donations in Cody's memory may be made to the Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave., Salem, MA 01970
