Daniel A.
Loeb
d. Jun 24, 2023
Daniel A Loeb (1961-2023) of Cambridge, MA died peacefully with his family by his side after a battle with early on-set alzheimer's disease, June 24, 2023. Born on April 16, 1961 to Ann and Michael Loeb, Danny was raised in New York City where he was a graduate of Riverdale Country School. After college at Johns Hopkins University, Danny attended graduate school at University of Pennsylvania where he quickly fell in love with his wife of nearly 35 years, Debbie Piltch. Danny settled in the greater Boston area where he and Debbie raised three children. He later pursued a Master's of Education at Lesley University. Professionally, Danny was an architect and contractor and later a middle school math teacher for kids with language-based learning disabilities. He loved the Boston Celtics, music, wide brim hats, travel, and all types of dessert. His later years were characterized by dedication to his mediocre golf game. Never the loudest voice in the room but the person whose opinion was always valued, Danny was one of a kind. Danny will be remembered as a caring, empathetic, and gentle person, who made lifelong friends with those lucky enough to get to know him. Most importantly, Danny was passionate about his family. His greatest joy was being a father and grandfather and his contentment was tied to that of his children. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his three children: Rachael (Shahnawaz), Caleb (Grace), and Jessie; and, two grandchildren: Tarek and Keyaan. He is also survived by his mother, Ann; his sisters: Joanne (Lenny) and Susanna (Steve); his siblings-in-law: Cynthia (Jamie), Kineret, Steve (Sunny), Neal (Rhonda), Rich, Stu (Lisa), Stan (Teri), and Mary; and many loving nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his father, Michael and brother-in-law, David. A celebration of life will be held at Needham Golf Club on June 30, 2023 at 11 AM. Danny will be forever missed and loved for the joy and calm he brought to others.
"No flowers please. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Mildred's Dream Foundation, a special fund will be set up to support less fortunate families coping with cognitive decline."
