Daren Repici, loving son, brother and friend to many, passed away on March 28, 2024. Daren grew up in Lexington and lived in Lowell, while spending time in the Berkshires, Colorado and many summers at New Jersey beaches. Beloved son of Stephen and the late Deborah. Loving brother to Justin and sister-in-law Shinobu, and to Kira and brother-in-law Colin with a niece on the way. Endearing relative to aunts, uncles and cousins.

Daren's pursuit of rock and ice climbing saw him summit peaks across the United States, from Mount Monadnock and Mount Washington to 14kers such as Mount Rainier, including over ten 14kers in Colorado with a favorite being Uncompahgre Peak. When his ice picks and crampons were retired Daren continued climbing and climbing reaching new kinds of summits throughout his life. His courage and perseverance have left a profound impact serving as a guiding light of resiliency.

Daren was a talented landscape artist running his own business for many years creating beautiful gardens and pathways. He knew the names of all the trees and plants along with their growing strengths. Throughout his life Daren had many passions including raku pottery, running, playing basketball and caring for animals, especially dogs. He was known for exceptionally large well-balanced pottery vessels winning awards along the way. His long distance running pursuits also were quite defining, placing in many races and finishing others alongside local running stalwarts.

Daren was the ultimate son and sibling continually inspiring and providing joy to his family throughout his life. Daren was the family historian recalling obscure life happenings, with stories flowing while enjoying cream chipped beef or ice cream. Daren's friends remember him as a humble leader planning for the next climbing or mountain biking trip, while being the expert on the technical gear needed for success. He was an active volunteer within his community where a walk to the grocery store or to his favorite spaces always meant many greetings along the way providing a listening ear. He was a role model to us all leaving vivid memories of being the most caring and loving soul.

Climb higher. Be diesel. Daren will be dearly missed by his loved ones. A private service will be held. Donations in Daren's honor and love of the outdoors may be made to Sierra Club. Also, consider donating to NAMI in support of making tomorrow a reality for all of those touched by mental illness.
