WHITTINGHILL, Dexter C., Jr. of Bedford, formerly of Lexington, August 3, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Norma H. Whittinghill. Father of Dexter C. Whittinghill III and his wife E. Jane of Pitman, NJ, and the late David H. Whittinghill. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Kyle Ann, Leigh Jane, and Sarah Beth. Dexter was born in Washington, DC, July 23, 1926.  After his early years in DC, Pennsylvania and the Philippines, the family moved to Newton Centre.  He graduated from Newton HS, in 1944, and then served in the US Navy from 1944-1946.  He graduated from Middlebury College (1950) and MIT (1951) with a BS in Business and Engineering Administration. He worked for Campbell's Soup (1951-1970), William Underwood (1970-1977), and Nashua Corp., until retirement in 1988.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N.
