STEINKRAUSS, Donna E. (Mason) Of Lexington and Pocasset, Massachusetts, beloved wife of Attorney Joseph C. Steinkrauss; loving mother of Eric J. Steinkrauss, of Lexington, MA, Kristin E. Blount, of Cambridge, MA, Lisa J. O'Sullivan, of Arlington, MA, Julie A. Fuhrer, of Lexington, MA, Peter M. Steinkrauss, of Acton, MA, Kurt R. Steinkrauss, of Needham, MA. Loving grandmother of Jared C. Blount, Emily M. Blount, Hannah E. Struever, Ashley C. Steinkrauss, Alicia M. Steinkrauss, Dylan J. Steinkrauss, Ryan J. Steinkrauss, Maggie A. O'Sullivan, Kaitlyn E. Steinkrauss, Daniel P. Steinkrauss, William H. Steinkrauss, Oliver J. Fuhrer, Maeve G. Steinkrauss, Charles A. Fuhrer; sister to Russell Mason; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Donna grew up in Arlington, Massachusetts. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1956. After high school she attended Boston College where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. Donna met her husband, Joseph C. Steinkrauss, in 1956 at Boston College and was married on August 26, 1961 at St. Agnes Church in Arlington, with a reception at the Alumni House at Boston College in Newton. Joe and Donna were happily married for 51 years. They shared many happy memories with family and friends at Boston College events and at their homes in Lexington and Pocasset. She loved to travel, especially to Europe and the annual trip to Maine with her husband and friends. Donna was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Parish in Lexington. After graduating from Boston College, she taught second grade in Winchester, MA and San Diego, CA. Donna raised six children and was actively involved in school, church, and community activities. Donna began selling real estate in 1978 in Lexington, where she enjoyed a successful career spanning over 30 years. She touched many lives with her generosity, kindheartedness, and upbeat spirit. Donna was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, friend, and colleague. Donna was predeceased by her parents, Henry Patrick Mason and Mary Ellen Mason (Sheehan); her brother, Paul Mason and her sister, Margaret Mason. Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., LEXINGTON, Tuesday, January 15th at 9 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church, Lexington at 10 am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday from 4pm to 8pm. Interment will follow at National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne, MA at 2pm. The family will be greeting friends and relatives at Brookside Golf Club, McArthur Boulevard, Bourne, MA after the burial.
