Dorothy "Dee" Gallagher, 84, of Lexington formerly of Fitchburg and Arlington passed away peacefully at her home among several of her children on April 1, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Frank J. Gallagher Jr. She was predeceased by first husband J. Richard Braks, brothers Frederick "Bud" Bauman, Rear Adm. Richard Bauman and her parents Frederick and Dorothy (Farnham) Bauman.

She is survived by her brother Tim Bauman (Sally) of Ashby, her 11 children: Stephen Braks (Nancy) of MD, Stu Braks (Sherry) of AZ, Andy Braks (MaryEllen) of WA, Jane Gallagher of CA, Susan Flanagan (Bill) of NYC, Amy M. Gallagher of FL, Ellen G. Lowe (Doug) of Acton, Frank "Trip" Gallagher,III (Denise) of Cambridge, Timothy and Adam Gallagher of Lexington, Margaret "Meg" Fairbairn (George) of NH. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and extended family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.

Services will be at the Hancock UCC, Congregational Church of 1912 Massachusetts Ave. Lexington, Friday April 21, 10am memorial with reception to immediately follow. Interment at Westview Cemetery, Lexington. Arrangements made by Douglass Funeral Home, Lexington.
