GAUTHIER, Dorothy "Dot" (Pierce) 88, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2013 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, MA. She was the daughter of Ethel and Charles Warren Pierce. Dot was born in Belmont, MA and as a child moved to Lexington, MA where she resided until moving to Brooksby Village in Peabody, MA in 2009. Dot graduated From Lexington High School in 1942 and attended one year of business school in Boston. In 1961 Dot Married Laurent "Larry" Gauthier, who passed away in 1984. Dot worked 27 years in the Lexington Town Assessor's Office as a Principal Clerk and 25 years part-time as a member of the Lexington Visitors Center staff. She was also active with the Lexington Outlook Club that provided scholarships to Lexington students and was a familiar face as a poll site volunteer for all elections held in Lexington. Dot traveled extensively with her husband and visited many beaches and lighthouses in Maine. She also enjoyed bowling at the Wal-Lex Recreation Center with her many friends. Dot is survived by many cousins, many friends, and her Lexington neighbors Ethel and Harold Ollin. A memorial service will be held at Brooksby Village, 100 Brooksby Village Drive, Peabody, MA later this Summer. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to your favorite charity in her memory.
