Carlson, Edith Isabel (Harding), of Lexington, November 2, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Herbert T. Carlson. Daughter of the late Lloyd and Florence (Johnson). Harding. Loving mother of Robert "Ted" Carlson and his wife Joanne of Bedford, Eric "Ricky" Carlson and his wife Joan of Lexington, and Judith Ann Carlson Hunt  and her husband Elmer of Patterson, CA. Survived by 7 grandchildren, Jonas Carlson and his wife Johanna, Daniel Carlson and his wife Yana, Craig, Timothy, and Cody Carlson, Stacy, Stetson, and Scott Hunt, by 10 great grandchildren, Molly, Farrah, Matthew, Felicity, Ariana, Kira, Benjamin, Kaeden, Ezra, and Maya. Sister of Philip Harding and his wife Judy of The Villages, FL, and the late Robert Harding, and by many nieces and nephews.

Born March 31, 1924 in Melrose, Graduated Lexington High School 1941, Editor of School Newspaper "Spotlight," graduated Lawrence Memorial School of Nursing, Medford, 1945, Past Secretary and president Nurses Alumnae. Head Nurse at Baker Memorial Mass. General, 1945 -1952. Past President Pre-School P.T.A. 1955-56, Cub Scouts leader 8 yrs. Head Den Mother 1961. Brownie Leader 4 yrs. Organizer 3 yrs. Consultant 3 yrs. 1963-67. Cradle Roll Secretary, Treasurer and Past President of Episcopal Church Women 1971. Vestry member 3 yrs. 1974-77 the Church of Our Redeemer. Original Board Member of Fish 1972 for 18 years. Treasurer for 10. Treasurer of Newfound Lake Association, NH. Main interests family, church, sending cards, and many crafts.

Visiting hours will be held Monday November 5 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington from 4pm to 8pm. And a Funeral Service will be celebrated Tuesday November 6 at the Church of Our Redeemer, 6 Meriam St. Lexington at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
