Edith E. Fountain, 91, of Lexington, MA, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024. She was born November 19, 1932, in Arlington, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Roy D. Fountain.

Edith's caring nature drew her to become a Registered Nurse and for over 40 years she relished her time helping others at Symmes Hospital in Arlington, MA and Choate Hospital in Woburn, MA. She was a faithful member of Trinity Covenant Church of Lexington, MA where she actively engaged in the Lord's work for more than half a century. She devoted much of herself to making a warm, loving home for her husband and children and was heartily welcoming to all friends and family. She was a ray of light that touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all those blessed to have known her.

Edith is survived by her two children, R. Dexter Fountain of Camdenton, MO, and Karen Blake and her husband Daniel of Lexington, MA, by her three grandchildren, Nathan Blake and his wife Alexandra, Eric Blake and his wife Kathleen, and Rachel Blake, and by three great grandchildren, Tucker Blake, Ellie Blake and "Baby" Blake.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 28, at 6pm, at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd, Lexington, MA. Visitation will be prior to the service from 4pm to 6pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Kisoboka Uganda Inc [www.kisoboka.org/donate]. Private interment will be held the following day at Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
