Edward H. Martin of New York City passed away on March 2, 2016.  He was the beloved husband of Hiroko Martin, father of Elisabeth ("Lisa") Martin, grandfather of William and Jonathan Fletcher and brother of Ruth Martin.  He was predeceased by his brother Richard Martin.  Ed was born on August 18, 1938 in Newton, MA to Edward and Ruth Martin, and grew up in Lexington, MA.  He graduated from Harvard College in 1960 and earned his law degree from Harvard Law School in 1963.  He had a long and distinguished career in international corporate law.  He was passionate about international relations, history, writing, music and fitness.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road, Lexington, MA.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
