McCarthy, Edward, born in Cambridge, late of Lexington - passed away May 25, 2023, in Dusseldorf, Germany, at 84. Alongside his wife, he traveled the world touching every inhabited continent, started a family, grew a law firm, and became a respected member of his community and profession. Ed is survived by his wife, Christel, of Lexington, and his son, Phillip, of New York, NY. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday June 15 at Hancock Church, 1912 Mass. Ave. Lexington at 11am. Visiting hours Wednesday at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington from 4pm to 7pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Lexington Historical Society (lexingtonhistory.org/give). Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
