MULLEN, Eileen Mary. (O'Connor) lifelong resident of Lexington MA, May 2, 2018. Eileen was born in Walpole MA.  She studied in Boston Public Schools and received an BA degree from the Staley College of Boston.  She was a recipient of a full scholarship given by the American Association of University Women. Upon graduation, she began a career in banking, and served as a volunteer at North End Union settlement house teaching English.

The Papal Blessing was read at her marriage to Lt. John P Mullen (USAFR) of Medford, and in their 66 years of marriage had two children, John P Mullen II and Merita A Mullen and four grandchildren Elisabeth A Mullen, John P Mullen III, Gillian F. Rafuse and Katherine  E Rafuse.

Eileen participated in the Harvard Learning in Retirement Program for ten years.  She enjoyed foreign travel with her husband, visiting most countries of Europe as well as others in South America and Asia.

Visiting hours will be 4 to 7pm on Thursday May 10 at the Douglass Funeral Home 51 Worthen Rd, Lexington.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St Brigid Church 2001 Mass Ave. Lexington on Friday May 11 at 10 AM followed by a grave side service at Westview Cemetery Lexington.
