Murphy, Elaine C. (Cummings) of Lexington, peacefully passed away in her home, June 14, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Edward Leo Murphy. Loving mother of Sha u n E. Murphy and his wife Catherine of Burlington, Karen M. Duperey of Lexington, Timothy J. Murphy and his wife Joanne of Waltham, Patricia M. McLaughlin and her husband James of Lexington, and Peter J. Murphy and his wife Gwen of Acton. Sister of L ewis Cummings of Tacoma, WA, and  the late Rita Harry, Serena Cummings, and Charles Cummings. Elaine is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington Tuesday June 19 at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid Church, Lexington at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday from 4pm to 8pm. Donations in her memory may be made to the South West Indian Foundation. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
