Turano, Elaine F. (Suchnicki) of Lexington, March 27, 2024. Beloved wife of Carmen J. Turano. Loving mother of William W. Plummer of Brooklyn, NY, and Christopher E. Plummer of Vallejo, CA. Step-mother of David Turano of Canton, Paul Turano of Canton, and Suzanne Ryan of Norwood. Devoted sister of the late Emily Athanasoulis. She is also survived by 8 step-grandchildren.

Elaine was a very adventurous person, enjoyed the outdoors and travelling. She loved animals and science. She was a research chemist at MIT, and will be gravely missed by her many friends and family.

Visiting hours will be held Monday April 1 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington from 4pm to 7pm. The funeral service will be on Tuesday April 2 at the First Parish in Lexington (7 Harrington Rd.) at 11am. Interment at Westview Cemetery in Lexington to follow. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Donations in her memory may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Research Institute.
