Batchelder, Eleanor B. (Bateson), of Lexington, died May 20, 2012, after a long courageous fight against Alzheimers. Beloved wife of 59 years to Loring E. Batchelder. Loving mother of Susan Batchelder of Teaneck, NJ, and Scott Batchelder and his wife Kathleen McDonough of Carlisle. Sister of James Bateson Jr. of Andover. Grandmother of Brian Bento and his wife Tina and of Stacey Bento. Eleanor is also survived by a great grandson, Colin Bento, by her cousin and special friend Mildred Driscoll of Andover, and by many nieces and nephews. Graduate of Punchard High School, 1950, and of The North Shore Babies Hospital of Salem, 1952; She was a caring person always ready to give a helping hand to anyone in need; Longtime volunteer at the VA Hospital in Bedford; Worked for many years at the prescription counter at Brattle Pharmacy in Arlington.
