Fitzgerald, Eleanor M. , Proud daughter of Dorchester and longtime resident of Lincoln, died on February 17, 2019 at Lahey Hospital after an acute illness. Eleanor was born on May 12, 1939, to parents, Marion and Thomas Hughes. Married to her husband Derek for 54 years. Devoted mother of Paul and Ian of Lincoln, and Neil of Waltham. Sister of Regina Hughes and Margaret Harter of Quincy, and the late Marilyn Foley of Latham, NY. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Eleanor was an educator, realtor, and town activist, having worked on a number of boards including Trustee of Lincoln Library. Visiting hours Thursday Feb. 21 ^st at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington from 9am to 10:30am, followed by a procession to Sacred Heart Church, 16 Follen Rd. Lexington and an 11am Funeral Mass. Relatives and friends invited. Interment at Lincoln Cemetery.
