A life-long resident of Lexington and Duxbury, Eleanor (Norton) MacQueen passed away on April 28, 2023.  She was born on November 10, 1934 and was predeceased by her parents, Dr. Thomas K. Norton and Catherine (Dailey) Norton and her brother, Thomas K. Norton, Jr.

Ellie received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pembroke College in Brown University and was an active artist working in watercolor.  She served two terms as a member of the Lexington Historical Districts Committee and was a former president of the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Duncan A. MacQueen, Jr. and her two sons, Duncan A. MacQueen III and his wife Debora of North Carolina, and Andrew N. MacQueen and his wife Eileen of Framingham, and her four grandchildren, Bobby, William, Kevin and Erin.

Visitation will be held at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road, Lexington from 8:30 AM to 9:15 AM on May 4, 2023 followed by a 9:30 AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church, 20 Follen Road, Lexington. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association of New England.
