TUCKER, Eleanor (Holmstine) Formerly of Lexington, December 8, 2013. Born January 28, 1925 to Arthur and Mildred Holmstine, was a lover of many things. Not necessarily in this order, they included: Opera, Family, Tea, Fruit, Birds, Gardening, Owls, Traveling, Local History, Walking and Beauty of all sorts. She passed away peacefully the morning of December 8, after a long wonderful life and unasked for and unfortunate decline caused by old age. With an independent and adventurous spirit she raised a wonderful family, traveled to most of the countries she dreamed of seeing, saw all of her favorite operas more than once and shared her enthusiasm for American History as a docent of Historic homes in Lexington, MA. She was proud to be a graduate of the University of North Carolina, worked for the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics and was an active member of the First Parish Unitarian Church in Lexington. She is predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Warren Tucker and is survived by her sister, four sons, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Our wish is that she will rest in comfort and joy. A service in her memory will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the First Parish Unitarian Church, 7 Harrington Rd. in Lexington.
