BARCLAY, Elizabeth (Currier) A lifelong Lexington resident, July 23, 2011. Wife of Robert L. Barclay. Also survived by many cousins. On April 19, 1914 Elizabeth's uncle, Curly Currier won the first Lexington road race, the Currier Cup and Elizabeth was the one who awarded the winner of this event each year in Lexington. A funeral service will be held Tuesday July 26 at Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd, LEXINGTON at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visitation Tuesday prior to service from 9am to 10am. Donations in her memory may be made to the New England Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave, Salem, MA 01970. Interment Munroe Cemetery, Lexington.
